Gardener 'murdered boy who walked across his lawn'

An American man described as being devoted to his meticulously kept lawn has been charged with murder over the shooting of a 15-year-old boy who apparently walked across his garden.

Police said Charles Martin shot next-door neighbour Larry Mugrage in the chest on Sunday afternoon in Union Township, near Batavia in Ohio. The teenager was later pronounced dead in hospital.
