Gunmen storm German TV offices
Palestinian gunmen today broke into the offices of the German television network ARD in Gaza City, a Palestinian journalist working for the network said.
The German TV office is located in the same building in Gaza housing the BBC, but there was no immediate word on whether the BBC had also been targeted.
At least eight foreigners were kidnapped in Gaza after Israeli forces burst into a jail in the West Bank town of Jericho, demanding the surrender of prisoners, including the mastermind of the killing of an Israeli Cabinet minister.
They included two Australian teachers and two South Korean journalists.
The abductions came just hours after an Israeli army raid of a West Bank prison, in which troops demanded the surrender of the leader of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, a radical PLO faction.
The kidnappers in Gaza are from the PFLP, police said.
The PFLP has threatened to abduct foreigners if there leader was harmed by Israeli troops.
