Berlusconi and Mills face corruption charges
Prosecutors in Milan have requested that Italian Premier Silvio Berlusconi and British lawyer David Mills, estranged husband of Culture Secretary Tessa Jowell, be indicted on charges of corruption, Italian news agencies reported today.
The premier is accused of ordering the payment of at least €500,000 to Mills, in 1997 in exchange for the lawyer’s false testimony in two trials against Berlusconi.
