Explosion injures several in south-east Turkey

An explosion injured several people today in Turkey’s Kurdish dominated south-east amid escalating attacks by autonomy-seeking Kurdish guerrillas, Turkish media reports said.

Ambulances were attending the scene of the explosion in the south-eastern city of Van, bordering Iran, the Anatolia news agency and private NTV television reported.
