Iran has a right to nuclear technology for peaceful purposes and is committed to not building a nuclear weapon, its foreign minister said today.

Manouchehr Mottaki met Japanese Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi in Tokyo and later said he had asked for Japanese participation in Iran’s nuclear reactor programme, but he denied Tehran wanted to build an atomic weapon.
