Explosion derails passenger train in Pakistan
A bomb explosion derailed a passenger train today, shortly after it was attacked by gunmen in south-western Pakistan. There were no immediate reports of injury.
In another attack in the region, two bombs blew up a section of a track south-east of Quetta, the capital of restive Baluchistan province, said Gul Khan Sasoli, a senior police official.
The explosion didn’t hurt anyone, but gunmen shot at a train, which was going to the scene to help with repairs, injuring two railway workers and three soldiers, Sasoli said.
The attack happened about 60 miles north-east of the bombing that derailed the train, Sasoli said.
