Four US soldiers from the 101st Airborne Division have been killed when their vehicle was hit by a roadside bomb north of the Iraqi capital Baghdad, the US military said today.

Four US soldiers from the 101st Airborne Division have been killed when their vehicle was hit by a roadside bomb north of the Iraqi capital Baghdad, the US military said today.

The soldiers were assigned to the division’s 1st Brigade Combat Team and were killed while on patrol yesterday near Hawijah, 150 miles north of Baghdad, the command said in a statement.

The names of the victims were withheld pending notification of family members.
