The Israeli army uncovered an explosives laboratory in the West Bank city of Nablus, as it entered its third day of an operation in the city.

The explosives were detonated in a controlled manner, the army said.

The army also arrested 11 wanted men in overnight raids in the West Bank.

Early today, Israeli forces operating in the Old City of Nablus shot and killed a senior member of Islamic Jihad, Palestinians said.
