Italian Reforms Minister Roberto Calderoli has resigned after his wearing of a T-shirt featuring Prophet Mohammad cartoons sparked a riot in Benghazi in Libya in which 10 people died.

He said he was resigning to "stop the shameful exploitation which in these hours has been directed against me."
