Atiq Ur-Rahman, a railway official, said the collision happened near the town of Kotri and four wagons of the oil tanker train were on fire.

Rescue teams were on their way to the site of the crash, which blocked a rail line linking the southern city of Karachi and the north-western city of Peshawar, he said.
