Palestinian killed in attempted attack on Israeli forces

A Palestinian militant was killed and another seriously wounded today when they attempted to carry out an attack against Israeli forces, Palestinian hospital officials said.

The Israeli army said troops identified two armed men approaching the fence near the Karni crossing and opened fire, hitting the two men.
