BA jet makes emergency landing

A London-bound jet made an emergency landing in Boston early today after smoke was reported in the cockpit.

British Airways flight 184 left from Newark, New Jersey, but was diverted to Logan International Airport, where it landed at 8.30pm local time (1.30am today Irish time), Massachusetts Port Authority spokesman Phil Orlandella said. There were 140 people aboard.
