Hopes fade as roof collapse toll hits 66
Polish authorities said today that they were unlikely to find more survivors under the twisted wreckage of an exhibition hall that collapsed during a racing pigeon show, killing at least 66 people and injuring 160.
The fire chief in the southern city of Katowice, Kazimierz Krzowski, said there is a “low possibility that people are still trapped” after a day of search efforts in bitterly cold temperatures.
