New Hamas govt faces threat of isolation

Militant Islamic group Hamas risked world isolation today after the movement’s shock victory in Palestinian parliamentary elections.

Israel ruled out talks and the defeated Fatah party rejected a coalition government in what could be just the first steps in isolating the incoming rulers and freezing Middle East peace initiatives.
