Quake strikes Burma

A 5.7-magnitude earthquake in Burma’s Shan State was felt in several provinces of northern Thailand, the Thai meteorology department said today.

The epicentre of last night’s quake was in eastern Burma, about 120 miles north of Chiang Mai, Thailand, said a meteorology department announcement.
