Montenegro train plunge kills at least 44
Emergency teams resumed searching the wreckage of a four-carriage passenger train today, which derailed and plunged into a river canyon outside the Montenegrin capital, killing at least 44 people and injuring 198, officials said.
The train derailed near Bioce, a village about nine miles northeast of Podgorica, shortly after 4pm (2pm Irish time) yesterday, as it emerged from a tunnel above the Moraca River, police said.
