A provincial assembly in north-western Pakistan demanded the expulsion of the US ambassador to Islamabad today, more than a week after a US airstrike killed 13 people in a border village.

The lawmakers in the provincial capital of Peshawar unanimously passed a resolution calling for Ambassador Ryan Crocker to be expelled.
