Israeli prime minister Ariel Sharon’s condition remains unchanged – critical but stable, according to a statement early today from the hospital where he is being treated for a massive stroke.

Israeli prime minister Ariel Sharon’s condition remains unchanged – critical but stable, according to a statement early today from the hospital where he is being treated for a massive stroke.

The statement added that during the day, an “additional neurological evaluation” will be made. Sharon has been unconscious since suffering the stroke on January 4.
