Air crash kills Iranian commander

The commander of the ground forces of the elite Revolutionary Guards died today when a small military passenger jet crashed in north-western Iran trying to make an emergency landing, official media reported.

General Ahmad Kazemi and 10 others on board the Falcon were killed in the crash at Oroumieh, 560 miles North-west of the capital, Tehran, state television reported.
