Austrian chancellor: Reviving EU constitution will be tough
Austrian Chancellor Wolfgang Schuessel, who holds the EU presidency, today said Monday it would be difficult to resurrect the bloc’s embattled European Constitution.
“The constitution is hard and difficult to revive, (but) it’s possible,” Schuessel said after holding talks with the European Commission executive at the start of his country’s six-month EU presidency.
He will try to rescue the stalled EU constitution which was rejected by French and Dutch voters last year.
