Brain scan on Sharon shows slight easing in swelling
Prime Minister Ariel Sharon’s brain scan showed a slight easing in swelling and his vital signs are stable, but he remains in critical condition and his life remains in danger, a hospital official said today.
Hospital director, Dr Shlomo Mor-Yosef, said doctors would decide tomorrow when to take Sharon out of his induced coma to examine the extent of the damage to the prime minister’s brain.
Sharon was admitted to the hospital on Wednesday after suffering a debilitating stroke. He has since undergone surgery on two occasions to stop bleeding and relieve pressure inside his skull.
