Body of 14th ice rink victim recovered
Rescue workers recovered three more bodies today from a collapsed skating rink in southern Germany and said there were no further signs of life as they searched for the one remaining missing person believed still under the Bad Reichenhall wreckage.
Police official Peter Huber said the body of a female victim had been found, bringing the death toll to 14. He didn't give an age. Earlier in the day, two boys were recovered.
The roof caved in after heavy snowfall on Monday afternoon with about 50 people inside, including many children on Christmas break from school.
Rudolf Schaupp, deputy administrator of the district of Berchtesgaden, said relatives of the victims had been brought to the site.
"Maybe it can't calm them but at least they know what the rescue crews are doing," he said.
