A Turkish search and rescue team recovered the body of a Ukrainian tourist today, two days after an avalanche trapped her at an eastern Turkish ski resort.

A Turkish search and rescue team recovered the body of a Ukrainian tourist today, two days after an avalanche trapped her at an eastern Turkish ski resort.

Her body was found three feet under the snow by a 100-member rescue team at the Palandoken ski resort in eastern Erzurum province, the Anatolia news agency reported.

Erzurum is 540 miles east of Ankara, the capital.
