UK: Thieves steal garden wall

Police in the UK are investigating the “bizarre” theft of a garden wall, it emerged today.

Thieves dismantled an 18ft section of wall bordering a house in Marlborough Road, Gloucester, some time between 7pm and 10pm on December 23.

The gang escaped with hundreds of bricks in the raid.

A Gloucestershire Police spokesman said: “I’ve not come across anything like this before. We come across walls being pushed over and cars crashing into walls but I’ve never heard of an actual wall being stolen.”

Police have asked for anyone who may have been offered bricks at a knockdown price to contact them.
