Air India flight makes emergency landing at LA airport

An Air India flight carrying 273 passengers and crew made an emergency landing in the US after blowing a tyre as it took off.

Air India Flight 136 departed Los Angeles International Airport at 8.33pm local time yesterday for Frankfurt, Germany. The plane safely returned to the airport at 10pm after dumping fuel, said airport spokeswoman Nancy Castles.
