British police were today hunting a serial flasher who exposed himself while dressed as Father Christmas.

He indecently exposed himself on five occasions in Swanage, Dorset – once while dressed as Santa Claus.

Three girls in their mid-teens were his first victims at the steam railway station in Swanage town centre on Tuesday last week.

Two women, aged 18 and 23, were walking in Northbrook Road when they fell victim to the flasher on Thursday last week.

The final three incidents all happened last Sunday – in Gilbert Road, when he was dressed as Santa, in Institute Road and in Northbrook Road.

Pc Jonathan Maunder, of Swanage police, said: “I would be very interested to hear from anyone who may have seen someone acting suspiciously while dressed as Father Christmas in the Gilbert Road or surrounding areas of Swanage town centre on the evening of Monday December 12, 2005.

“These incidents of indecent exposure have caused a great deal of upset to the women that the man has approached and we are treating these incidents extremely seriously.”

Dorset Police released an artist’s impression Efit of a man they want to speak to in connection with the incidents in which the man approached the women but did not touch them.
