US military launches probe of video clips

The US military is investigating a video clip that appeared on the internet purporting to show Western security contractors firing at Iraqi civilian vehicles, a spokesman said yesterday.

The video has appeared on a website informally linked to London-based Aegis Defence Services Ltd., one of the biggest private security contractors in Iraq.
