Barroso says EU budget deal possible by year-end

European Commission President Jose Manuel Barroso said in a televised interview today that he believes an EU budget deal is possible by year-end.

Barroso, speaking to France’s i-television after meetings with French officials, urged members of the 25-member bloc to make “a few gestures” to reach a budget deal.
