Three killed, 35 hurt, in shopping centre suicide blast

A suicide bomber has blown himself up at the entrance to a shopping mall in the northern Israeli town of Netanya, killing at least three people and wounding 35, seven critically.

Ami Klein, a lawyer who witnessed the explosion from a nearby courthouse, told Israel Radio that the attacker reached the entrance to the mall but wasn’t able to enter. “The boom shook the entire courthouse,” he said.

There was no immediate claim of responsibility, but the attack follows growing tensions along Israel's border with the Gaza Strip.
