Nato forces were setting up winter shelters high in the mountains of Pakistan’s earthquake zone today, as doctors rushed to immunise children against measles and other diseases before snows cut off remote areas.

Working with Pakistan’s army, Nato teams planned to operate at altitudes above 1,500 meters (5,000 feet) for as long as weather allowed, Nato said in a news release.
