The man accused of killing British backpacker Peter Falconio was filmed by a fuel station security camera within hours of the tourist disappearing in an Outback ambush, a forensic expert told a court today.

Bradley John Murdoch, a 47-year-old cross-country drug runner from Broome in Western Australia state, is on trial for the murder of 28-year-old Falconio and the attempted abduction of Falconio’s girlfriend Joanne Lees, 27, in the central Australian desert on July 14, 2001.
