A Ryanair Boeing 737 with 111 people aboard made an emergency landing in southern Sweden after an engine failure, rescue officials said today.

The Ryanair flight was on its way from Tampere in Finland to London late yesterday when the pilot shut down one of the two engines after it malfunctioned.
