Three killed in Tenerife bus crash
A bus veered off a highway in the Spanish Canary Island of Tenerife today and smashed into a petrol station.
Three passengers, including two children, were killed and nine others were injured, news reports said.
The accident occurred around 11am local time, near the Parque de la Reina in San Miguel, in the south of the island, the state news agency Efe reported. The names and nationalities of the dead were not released.
The injured were taken by ambulances, helicopters to hospitals in Tenerife, a favourite vacation spot for European tourists.
The cause of the accident was not immediately clear.
