Jesse Jackson urges mobilisation against Aids

US civil rights activist Jesse Jackson today urged South Africans to mobilise against the HIV/Aids pandemic just as they did against apartheid.

Jackson said he discussed the problem of Aids at a meeting with former President Nelson Mandela – an old ally in the human rights struggle.
