Saddam co-accused's lawyer kidnapped

The lawyer of one of Saddam Hussein’s co-defendants in their mass-murder trial was kidnapped from his Baghdad office today, Iraqi police said.

Saadoun Sghaiyer al-Janabi, who was in the courtroom during yesterday’s opening session of the trial, is the lawyer of Awad al-Bandar, one of seven Baath officials being tried alongside Saddam.
