The family of a missing British backpacker arrived in Australia today for the trial of a mechanic accused of murdering him on a lonely stretch of Outback highway in 2001.

Bradley John Murdoch, who has been charged with the murder of 28-year-old Peter Falconio, will face trial on October 17 in the northern Australian city of Darwin.
