The busiest shopping street in London will be car free today for the first time in its history.

Cars are being banished from Oxford Street as part of an effort to bring people back into the West End.

Footfall is down following the July 7 bombings on three underground trains and a bus, in which killed 52 innocent people.

Charlotte Church, Lemar, Rachel Stevens and Liberty X will all be taking part in the celebrations as Oxford Street is turned into a pedestrian's paradise.
