Dutch euthanasia policy could include infants
The Dutch government is expanding its euthanasia policy, setting guidelines for when doctors may carry out late-term abortions or end the lives of terminally ill newborns with the parents’ consent, officials and medical industry sources say.
Such killings are opposed by the Vatican, right-to-life and other advocacy groups for the handicapped who abhor the current policy that accepts adult euthanasia at the patient’s request if certain conditions are met.
