Abbas-Sharon summit postponed
An Israeli-Palestinian summit, tentatively scheduled, has now been postponed, a Palestinian negotiator said today.
The negotiator, Saeb Erekat, said the decision was taken in consultation with Israel, and that no new date had been set.
Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas and Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon were scheduled to meet on Sunday,
Abbas has said he expected the summit to take place eventually, despite the recent flare-up of violence, but that more preparation was needed.
