Acehnese rebels emerged from their jungle camps today to surrender a second batch of weapons, as the guerrillas and Indonesian government argued over what kind of guns should count under their peace deal.

The decommissioning of the rebels’ armory is viewed as the most sensitive element of the accord, Aceh province’s best chance in years of ending three decades of fighting that has claimed 15,000 lives.
