Iraq suicide bomber kills 16 policemen

Sixteen policemen and five civilians were killed today when a suicide bomber drove his car into a convoy of police vehicles in Baghdad’s southern Dora district, police said.

Thirteen policemen and eight civilians were were wounded in the attack which occurred at 8am local time, said Lieutenant Thair Mahmoud of the Rapid Response Unit. Three police vehicles were destroyed.
