British soldier killed in Basra roadside bombing

A British soldier was killed today and two others were wounded when a roadside bomb exploded near their convoy in Basra.

Iraqi police Captain Mushtaq Kadim said the incident had taken place in the southern Iraqi city, where British forces are based.
