Fire in Egyptian theatre kills 25
At least 25 people were killed tonight when a fire destroyed an Egyptian theatre during a crowded performance.
About 1,000 people were in the theatre at Beni Suef, about 60 miles south of Cairo.
At least 45 people were injured in the blaze.
The fire was said to have started at about 11.45pm local time, causing panic in the packed audience, with hundreds trying to flee from the burning theatre to save their lives, a police official said.
The blaze was later brought under control by fire crews.
