Giuliani to decide on US presidential bid next year
Former New York Mayor Rudolph Giuliani told an international business forum today that he will probably decide next year whether to run for the presidency of the United States.
Giuliani, the two-term Republican mayor who became Time magazine’s Person of the Year for 2001 for his leadership following the September 11 terrorist attacks on New York and Washington, said it would be premature to decide now whether to run.
Asked at the Forbes Global CEO Conference in Sydney when he would become US president, Giuliani replied: “I don’t know that answer.
“I don’t know whether I’m going to run yet which is something I probably won’t decide until next year and then, of course, nobody knows the answer of that until after people vote,” he said.
