A landslide triggered by heavy rains killed three people in northern Vietnam, an official said today.

The bodies of two women aged 44 and 80 and a nine-year-old boy were recovered Tuesday, hours after their house was buried by the landslide in Bao Thang District in Lao Cai province, some 190 miles north-west of Hanoi.
