18 killed in Zimbabwe bus crash

Two buses crashed into each other on a Zimbabwean bridge today, killing 18 people.

The two vehicles were following each other on a road between the towns of Kwekwe and Nkayi, about 190 miles west of the capital.

The lead bus hit the side of the bridge and the second bus rammed into it, he said.

Seventeen people died at the scene and another person died in the hospital in the western city of Bulawayo. It was not immediately clear how many people were injured.
