US jailbreak couple captured
A prisoner and his wife, wanted for murder after a court escape and shooting in Tennessee, were captured early today at an Ohio motel.
George and Jennifer Hyatte were arrested in a room at an America’s Best Value Inn in Columbus without a struggle, said Mark Gwyn, director of the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation. The arrest followed a tip from a cab driver who had dropped them off.
On Tuesday, Jennifer Hyatte, 31, ambushed two guards as they were leading her 34-year-old husband from a court hearing in Kingston, Tennessee. Guard Wayne “Cotton” Morgan was shot dead during the escape.
