Siege as armed police raid flat in west London

A siege has developed in west London today following a raid by police investigating the failed bombings in the city last week.

Witnesses said armed officers wearing gas masks mounted a major operation at a block of flats in Dalgarno Gardens, close to Wormwood Scrubs prison, at around 11.30am.
