Key al-Qaida suspect detained in Iraq

Iraqi police say a key al-Qaida suspect has been arrested.

Hamdi Tantawi is said to be a close associate of the organisation's number two, Ayman al-Zawahiri.

He was detained during a raid on a farmhouse south of Baghdad.
