Iran vows to restart nuclear activities

Iran is to restart some nuclear activities, outgoing President Mohammad Khatami said today.

The planned activites include a key step prior to uranium enrichment, despite a European agreement over its contentious atomic programme, which the US says is designed to build nuclear weapons,
